1979 Airstream Classic Excella for sale by Owner - Wilmington, NC

Airstream started making motorhomes with the Airstream brand in 1979 so this one is kind of cool.

28' is the right length... the 34' are more common but a little long for grocery shopping and they've got the extra expense of the tag axle. You won't find a '25 footer since they are so cute.

I've owned this one for a year and a half and have the clear title. Interior is in pretty remarkable shape given its age. Most of the appliances work, but its next owner might want to upgrade the electrical since it's pretty original. I haven't tested all the appliances but it's holding propane with no leaks and the interior lights / master control panel work. I have another Airstream motorhome that I use regularly -- this one wasn't being driven so I rescued it.

454 engine is helped along with the Banks Power Pack (after market) and the front and rear couches transform into 2 full beds. Awning is in usable shape, and there's a cool dining room table behind the drivers seat I haven't really used but it's there.

New tires, brakes, batteries, air bags, and tons of little improvements. The shell was painted but we've polished most of the paint off and it's not mirror finish but it's on the way. One rear panel looks a a little different from the others but no leaks and tons of potential.

Tons of interest locally but I'm ready to sell so just lowered the price for a quick firm sale. I'm around the next couple weekends or could take a half-day at work to do the paperwork. Happy Airstream hunting!
